Experience
I am in my 5th year working as an Elementary Classroom Teacher. Additionally, I have 4 years experience working as a Teaching Assistant in the areas of technology and special education. Initially I worked to integrate technology into district classrooms and curriculum and then worked 1:1 with two students on the Autism Spectrum. I want to tutor because I genuinely enjoy working with students and helping them understand concepts that they are struggling with. I differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students. I like to make sessions fun and meaningful. I also have/use a plethora of manipulatives to aide in instruction. Additionally, I am classified as a Highly Qualified Teacher as per the Praxis II exam. Lastly, I have extensive experience working with students with special needs as well as English Language Learners. I have experience implementing strategies and techniques in my instruction to meet the needs of students in those areas.
